The project is establishing a national resource located in the East Midlands region, which seeks to create opportunities for research, practice and consultancy, and promote artist publishing as a contemporary visual arts practice both in the UK and abroad.

The Centre will function as a hub for production, distribution, research and education, and houses an archive of artists publications from both the UK and overseas. The Centre also provides opportunities to bring artists together – from both the visual and literary arts, to develop and work on publications and associated projects. In addition, there will be opportunities for holding master classes, residences for artists, and the staging of workshops with universities, schools, and local groups. It is intended that a programme of exhibitions and events will showcase work of the Centre. Public access to these activities and the resources of the Centre is actively promoted and encouraged. If you wish to arrange a visit please contact acap@rgap.co.uk or ring 01629 826617.
